TIFF is the most fan-accessible film festival (and my favorite) so it’s amazing to be here with fellow film fanatics, especially for a movie that’s one of this year’s best: Hamnet. It’s a film that focuses on William Shakespeare’s only son and the grief resulting from his unexpected death. It was nice lifting people’s moods up before watching something like this! I’ve long admired Chloe Zhao’s work so it was an honor to be here in support of this powerful film at the World Premiere alongside Paul Mescal, Jessie Buckley, Jacobi and Noah Juke.
